I like the organic shape created in the first design. It works well with the quirky font choice. There is a a lot of dead space in the composition, so perhaps the type could wind back into the composition in the lower left and increase in scale for more of a spatial read. Right now it just kind of mashes into the right side. I’ll send a you design for reference for better compositional subdivisions of letter masses.
The second design has some playful relationships in the top half but needs more compositional intrigue.
