For this visual journaling project, I choose to focus on one of the things I have missed most since the pandemic started – traveling to the Jersey shore to visit one of my aunts. I have always loved taking the couple of trips each summer to visit family and spend time at the beach, and not being able to do that this past year has really made it clear how much I love it.
While watching the discussion and doing this project, I realized how helpful visual journaling can be. I’ve never been one to keep a written journal, and while I have really tried this past year especially, I have found it difficult to put my thoughts down in words on paper. Through the discussion and this project, I have found visual journaling to be a much more effective process to help clear my head when thoughts become overwhelming.
