This was definitely my favorite WW exercise. I had a ton of fun with it, finally getting the chance to use the acrylics and brushes that I got in my kit for the class. My first go-round with the assignment was actually “Everything Counts – Depeche Mode”, and I really love that one. I then did some experimenting to see if I could improve upon it , which resulted in the failed experiment for Dear Prudence (I had a good start at the bottom, but got to bold at the top and after trying to cover my mistake, I made it worse). I then took a similar approach and palette to use for another one of their songs, Come Together. My final one was Panic by The Smiths, and to complete it, I listened to the song on repeat the entire time, to make sure I was really channeling it rather than having to ask myself “ok, what did that part feel like again?”.

Great little painting! And I appreciate the alternates.
