Self Portrait WIP

I experimented with several different backgrounds, the wing of an airplane, Lehigh, and the forest, but I think I like the outer space one best. I was looking at filters and enjoyed the one shown above so I pasted it onto the original and turned down the opacity. I am not sure what I think of them.

  1. Love the spatial perspective of the portrait element, but there’s quite a bit of unoccupied space. Keep in mind that it doesn’t need to be exactly 8 x10, so perhaps cropping down to a more square format might help to better active the space. I’m assuming the fit might be cropped off in the original photo, but it would work better compositionally if the entire figure fit in the space. I’ll send you a few examples for reference.
