Remember My Name Album Cover- TyGee Leach

I didn’t only choose the Album cover ‘ Remember my name Deluxe edition’ from 2015 by Lil’ Durk because he is my favorite artist, but because of the story solely behind this cover art. Due to the cover being a direct headshot, there isn’t much of a shape use other than the use of his head as one. The use of a straight headshot of himself puts emphasis on the importance that this is him, Lil Durk, and the purpose of the album is to tell you about who he is. However, the uniqueness of the art for the cover are the words that are embedded within the entire head shot. if you look closely , every word within his headshot from top to bottom are the streets that make up the city of Chicago, where he is from. Putting everyone of those streets on his headshots gives the impression that he is who he is because of the influence of where he is from and how the surroundings shaped him. The solid black background plays a huge role in this cover art as it is being used as a spotlight to allow him to shine directly in the middle of the picture. This can be inferred that he is the center of attention, he has the spotlight and stage in his city.
